Who We Are
We are a Saskatchewan based food provider specializing in the grading, distribution and marketing of shell eggs in Western Canada. Our eggs come from 65 local farmers who carefully raise hens that lay the variety of eggs we offer.
Star Egg sources the highest quality eggs from our suppliers and gets them ready for Saskatchewan families through an intricate grading process. Our state-of-the-art facility provides all types of eggs – grading 1.2 million eggs a day!
Our company partners with retailers and food service providers to distribute local, national and private label brands to the regions we supply. We employ best practices with respect to food safety regulations, animal welfare, social justice, responsible sourcing and employment.

Eggs are part of a healthy, balanced diet. Many of our hens are fed nutritionally enhanced diets to give you a wide variety of unique specialty eggs to meet all of your family’s needs. Our eggs are produced without the use of added hormones.

We take pride in the quality of our eggs. Star Egg is certified under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) through British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards.

Our egg suppliers follow Start Clean-Stay Clean, a food safety program developed by experts to ensure our eggs are produced under some of the highest standards in the world. The program focuses on sanitation, biosecurity and detailed record keeping and is verified by third party auditors who make certain that only the eggs that pass these standards will make it into Canadian homes.
Our egg farmers take pride in providing the best possible care for their hens and they know that happy and healthy hens lay the highest quality eggs. They apply years of knowledge and the latest animal care research so that their hens receive top notch care – from diet to housing to health care.
